Start with how many kids
Not with the brand. Tell us how many you’re carrying and how far, and the list gets short fast. We keep a good number of these on the floor and can order what we don’t, call for what’s in today.
Every bike here is a Bosch mid-drive, so every bike here climbs the hill. That isn’t what separates them. What separates them is how many kids fit, how far it goes, and where it parks. Two kids is where the longtails top out; if you have three, you want a box bike.

We stock both generations of the Tern HSD. The Gen 2 folds the same way, parks vertically the same way, and carries the same 176 lb on the rear rack. It is rated to 397 lb all up against the Gen 3’s 419, which matters only if you were planning to run at the ceiling. And it’s up to $800 less than it was last month.
If you were going to wait until spring, this is the reason not to.
