It is also eleven thousand dollars, and we are not going to pretend most families need it.

Who actually buys one

People who ride year round and never want to think about the drivetrain again. Trades and delivery use, where downtime costs money and an exposed chain is a liability. Long hilly commutes where one 800 Wh pack beats managing two 500s.
If you want ABS and the Smart System but not the Rohloff, the S10 does that for three thousand less. If you want the belt drive but none of the electronics, the P00 does that for five thousand less. Those are real answers and we would rather you hear them here.
