New England has no shortage of dirt roads, rail trails, and gravel routes worth exploring, and a regular commuter ebike isn't built for them. Our off-road lineup is. The Tern Orox, available in S12 and R14 builds, is Tern's dedicated adventure bike — built on the same obsessive engineering as the rest of their lineup, but with the suspension, tire clearance, and geometry for actual trail riding, not just a commuter with knobby tires. It's rated to carry serious cargo too, so it works as well for a weekend bikepacking trip as it does for hauling gear to a job site off the pavement. Like everything else in our showroom, the Orox runs a Bosch drive system and is UL-2849 certified — the extra demands of off-road riding are exactly where you don't want to gamble on battery quality.
