Shipping and Returns Policy
Shipping
We are about an hour from Boston, and people drive to us from further out than that. Boston, the Cape, Connecticut, New Hampshire, all over Massachusetts. It is not for the bike. You can get the bike anywhere. It is for what happens after it: a shop that knows these systems cold, fits the bike to you, and is still picking up the phone in three years.
Coming from further out? Book ahead and we will have two or three bikes charged and waiting when you walk in, so the trip is worth making once.
If you are genuinely too far to get here, call us and we will work it out. We ship case by case. E-bike batteries are regulated freight and it costs real money to move one, so we will quote you honestly before anything leaves the building.
Within about 30 miles of Providence we hand deliver. You can also pick up in store any time we are open, Wednesday to Saturday.
Parts and accessories are easier. Most things we can send. Call (401) 423-4400.
Not on the floor?
If the bike you want is not in the shop, we will order it in at no extra cost. Most bikes and gear get here in 5 to 14 business days, and every bike is built and checked here before you pick it up at 181 Brook St. A 50% deposit holds your order and the balance is due at pickup.
What you get buying here
Worth knowing before you compare us to a website, because none of this shows up in the price:
- An honest answer about which bike you need, including when that is the cheaper one, or none of them.
- A bike fitted to you and to the job, with kid seats, racks and lights set up before you ride away.
- A year of free unlimited tune-ups and labor.
- 20% off labor for life after that. You never pay the walk-in rate again.
- Bosch and only Bosch since 2018, using Bosch’s own dealer diagnostic tool, warranty work included.
- If you live in Rhode Island, we will point you at the state rebate and the 180 day deadline people miss. Up to $350 back, or up to $750 if you income-qualify. How it works.
- A phone number a person answers.
Returns
Since 2018, nobody has returned a bike. Not because we make it difficult, but because we spend the time up front making sure the one you leave with is the right one. That is what the test ride is for, and why we will talk you out of the wrong bike on the phone before you drive an hour to look at it.
If something goes wrong with the bike, you are covered and you are covered here. Manufacturer warranties apply, we handle Bosch warranty labor in house rather than shipping your bike off somewhere, and the year of free tune-ups stands. Bring it to 181 Brook St and we will sort it out.
So do not buy a bike planning to return it. But if something genuinely was not right for you, call us. We are a small shop, not a returns department, and we would figure it out.
